Avery...

Avery has been quite the little performer lately. Last night she put on a show for Josh and I in the living room. She gets all dressed up, grabs her sparkly microphone and stands in our bay window and serenades us. Her performances usually involve her interesting dance moves and at least one jump off of her "stage". Yesterday afternoon while we were at home she put on a show for Tate and I. She made up several songs for us, including one that she informed us was going to be about Strawberry Shortcake and her flowers. We've been learning the names of the plants in our yard (lilies, peonies, tulips, etc.) so I wondered which would be incorporated into her song. The song she made up was given the title of "Strawberry Shortcake's Peenies". Lovely. It was her way of saying peonies, but the song was interesting...

We made a day trip to the cities this weekend to stop in Albertville and pick up some deck supplies for Josh. On the way back to Moorhead, Tate kept babbling. I wasn't paying much attention to exactly what sounds he was making, but all of the sudden Avery says "Tate, you're full of a$$ today!". Josh and I looked at each other and tried to keep straight faces. I asked her what she meant and she said "Tate keeps making S sounds, so I told him he's full of a$$." We just let that one go... hopefully if she doesn't know it's a naughty word she won't keep repeating it!
