Winter is here!

We are in the midst of a winter storm. Both interstates that pass through our town are closed. No travel advised, church and Sunday school Christmas program cancelled, stuck at home all day. Perfect! We are having a great day of being forced to ignore the busy life going on around us and just spend time together. We've made Christmas cookies, Josh has a roast going in the crock pot and Avery and I managed to get a nap together. The only bad part is that the drifts from the 40 MPH winds are too high for the snowblower to push through. We had about two inches of snow before this storm and we now have five foot high drifts on the south side of our house. Not sure how we'll get our cars out tomorrow, but we'll find a way. The forecast for this week is a bit chilly too. The high on Tuesday is -10 degrees. I love winter, but am seriously counting the days until our sunny vacation after Christmas!
