I'm only going to post a bit, but there have been a few firsts in our house recently and I want to share!
Avery had her first dentist appointment a few weeks ago and did a great job. She was calm, followed directions, and didn't cry. We even got her to sit still for a few x-rays to check on her tooth that turned gray last year. One of her favorite activities at home is now playing dentist! She always says to me "Mommy, how about you pretend you're a doctor and I'll pretend I'm a kid, okay Mommy?" Um, okay Avery. Way to let your imagination run wild!!! :)
Tate had his first haircut last week! He looks like such a little boy now! He sat on my lap during the haircut since he can't sit very solidly on his own yet. We have some great pictures but for some reason Blgger won't let me post them right now... I'll keep trying! After Tate was done with his haircut we went to the annual holiday lights parade. Avery had a blast, but was too cold to take off her mittens to get candy. I was okay with that! We tried to get a picture of Tate bundled up for his first parade but the camera battery died. If Avery's love of parades and marching bands continues I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities!

Congrats on a successful dentist visit. That can be so tricky. I can't believe Tate already needed a haircut - the hair must come from mom, since his dad was at least 18 months old before he had enough hair to really see!
