Summer is going well for us but we've been spending our time outside rather than updating the blog... Not much has changed since I last updated. The kids continue to keep us busy. Avery is in swimming lessons this week and is loving them. I really thought she would be the shy kid who sat on the edge of the pool until the very last day of lessons, but she has definitely proven me wrong. She got into the pool the first day and loves her new "friends" and teacher. She's learned to go under water on her own and is learning to back float... exciting things for a three year-old!
Tate isn't in any summer activities but keeps us busy chasing after him. In the course of a seven minute phone conversation today I redirected him from going towards the dog's water dish at least ten times. Now that he's figured out where the water is and multiple routes to get there, we're in trouble! :) Honestly though, Tate is doing so well. He's signing more each week and is learning a few actions to "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". It's pretty cute!
Josh and I are both busy with work. We also celebrated on Monday because it had been ten years since our first date. Hard to believe! We agreed that if we had been told ten years ago on our first date (the one where Josh asked if I'd date him exclusively... :) where we'd be today neither of us would have believed it. It's been a crazy ten years but I feel truly blessed to have shared those years with him.
