Tate's party went great! He napped for a few hours before the party so he was well rested and able to stay awake for the entire party. He sat up by himself the whole time we opened presents, but had more interest in playing with the ribbons than actually opening the gifts. :) He was adorable though. Tate got tons of great gifts... clothes, a new spring jacket, books, toys, and the cutest little baseball hat. He hasn't worn a hat much yet, so when I put it on him he kept looking up and tossing his head back trying to see the brim. He didn't understand that it was attached to his head and that he would never "catch up" to it. I'll post a picture of it when I get home.
He did great with his cake too! He doesn't feed himself yet, but had no problem figuring out what to do with the cake. I think I took 100+ pictures of him devouring his cake and will post them later too.
Avery did great at the party. I was a little worried that she would be jealous of Tate's presents; apparently everyone else had the same concern because Avery got 4 or 5 presents at the party too! She was patient while Tate opened his gifts and had a blast playing with Auntie Taylar. She hadn't seen Taylar since October... we'll make sure not to wait so long this time!
